September Graduation 2022

UNSW Canberra is planning to host the September Graduation Ceremony with guests, provided COVID restrictions for the Campus allow. 

Important Information for September Mid-Year Graduation

Date and Location:

Date: Friday, 16th September 2022

Location: Adams Auditorium, Building 111 at the Australian Defence Force Academy

Parking is free and best parking is located in carparks 90, 91 and 92 marked on the ADFA map


Ceremony Time: 

Ceremony starts at 1400 and will also be livestreamed on the UNSW Canberra Facebook and YouTube

*Graduands must wear Academic Dress to participate in the ceremony and be seated by 1330

*Academic Dress, Guest Ticket Collection and Photography Services: Commences at 1000 on Friday 16th September 2022, in the Cadets Mess, marked Building 4 on the ADFA map

*Academic Dress must be returned to the Cadets Mess by no later than 1700 on Friday 16 September 2022 or financial penalties will apply.

Graduand Registration: 1245-1330 in Adams Auditorium, marked Building 111 on the ADFA map

Graduands to be seated no later than 1330.  Graduands who are not seated by the above times will be graduated in absentia and will not be permitted to       participate in the ceremony.

Graduate Reception

Graduates and their guests are invited to attend the Graduate Reception in the Adams Auditorium foyer immediately after the Graduation/Conferral Ceremony. Light refreshments and finger food will be provided.

Previous graduates who were unable to attend a ceremony in 2020/2021 due to COVID must lodge an expression of interest via the below link:

  1. Book your Academic Dress (Regalia) hire, photography and 3 guest tickets through Scene to Believe.   Graduands wishing to express interest in more than 3 guest tickets must send an email to  Once RSVP’s are closed graduands will be advised if these requests can be accommodated.

I am not attending

  1. Register as NOT ATTENDING via MyUNSW. Check name, address and degree specialisation are correct.

Select how you would like to receive your graduation documents:

  • Not Attending – Mail:  your graduation documents will be sent to you after your scheduled ceremony date by either registered post within Australia, or by TNT courier outside Australia


  • Not Attending - Collect: your Testamur will be available for collect from the Student Administration Services office from Monday, 19 September


If you require evidence of your degree completion for work purposes, please email and a formal letter can be provided.


Outstanding fees

In order to graduate, it is a University requirement that all materials must be returned and all fines/fees must be settled. This includes any tuition fees, loans, library books, fines etc.

Students can check their accounts by contacting Student Administrative Services. Library accounts can be checked through the myLibrary login, located on the Academic Library webpage.
