Biographical Note

Frederick Keith Summerfield (known as Keith) was born in 1918 in Rosewater, South Australia. He enlisted in the Royal Australian Air Force in 1941 as a corporal. Summerfield was present at the formal surrender of the Second Japanese Army on Moratai Island on 9 September 1945. He was discharged in 1946
