The papers of Patrick Tennison contain drafts of publications, notes, reviews, photographs, and video and audiocassettes. The non-fiction published works in this collection cover a variety of topics, including titles such as The Lucky Country Reborn (1976), The Marriage Wilderness : a Study of Women in  Suburbia (1978), and Family Court, the Legal Jungle (1983)

Biographical Note

Author and journalist Patrick Tennison was born in 1928. He published numerous non-fiction books on topics such as law, Australian politics, psychology, and journalism. As well as working as a freelance journalist, he was a feature writer for The Sun News-Pictorial and gave news commentary on the Herald & Weekly Times radio station. Tennison was the first chairman and president of the Melbourne Press Club
