Supply chain management is important for companies and organisations to improve their business and enhance competitiveness in the global marketplace. A manufacturer€“retailer system which operates under an agreed coordinated policy needs to be considered, with an imperfect production process and a possibility of having demand fluctuation at the retailer's end.  To do this, a mathematical model should be developed for a single fluctuation, either for increasing or decreasing demand rate. Later on, along with uncertain production rate (i.e., faster and slower) and varied demand patter (increase or decrease), four different matrices can be considered for that two-stage manufacturer retailer system. To solve the proposed model, advanced operations research-based optimisation approaches should be considered.
