Overview

In two days, you will develop skills and knowledge of the fundamentals of reliability analysis, including fault trees, reliability block diagrams, failure mode and effects analysis, event tree construction, reliability data collection and analysis, modelling systems for reliability analysis. You'll cover fundamental reliability engineering concepts. This course will focus on capability system acquisition problems related to defence and industry and how to identify and apply the most suitable strategies.

Facilitator

Hatem Saad

Hatem Saad is a systems engineering, optimisation and performance specialist with teaching experience in science and engineering.

He received a PhD in physics from the University of New South Wales, Canberra. He completed his MSc in physics and BSc from the Faculty of Science, AL-Azhar University, Egypt. Hatem is currently a Research Associate with the Capability Systems Centre (CSC), School of Engineering and Information Technology (SEIT), UNSW at Canberra.  His research interests include quantum-inspired evolutionary algorithms, solving optimisation problems and reliability engineering.
