BARRISTER, NINTH FLOOR SELBOURNE CHAMBERS
Equality is not something that just happens – it requires courage, determination and resilience to take on accepted norms of discrimination that have been historically accepted and entrenched in human society. But educating our society, colleagues, neighbours and friends through advocacy, persuasion and not compromising or resiling from who we are is the best way to effect change and make society a better and more productive place for all. Society’s most vulnerable have often been hurt and persecuted along the way on that journey, but the endpoint of respect and equality is a goal worth fighting for.
